Calvince did not grow up in the city. He grew up in the village — far from the noise of Nairobi, surrounded by hardworking people who gave everything they had and still struggled to make ends meet. It was school that brought him to Nairobi. And Nairobi is where his eyes were opened. The city showed him something he could not unsee: the gap between those who understood how money works and those who didn't was not a gap of intelligence or effort — it was a gap of access and knowledge. The same determination that carried him from the village to the city was everywhere around him, in people who just needed the right vehicle. After years building inside the financial services industry, he arrived at a conclusion that most people sense but few act on: the traditional employment model was never designed to create wealth for ordinary people.
